Abstract

|
A case of Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita in the newborn infant was presented. He was normal full term spontaneously delivered newborn in our department of obstetrics.
At birth, physical examination revealed short and webbed neck, scoliosis, flexion contracture of both elbow joints, fingers and knee joints. Internal rotation of feet and equinovarus deformities were found, also.
Autopsy findings showed partial atelectasis of both lungs, high ASD with 1.4 cm in diameter and cryptorchism. And microscopic findings were non-specific.
Review of literature was made briefly.
